Wanted to trade a 2015 Toyota 4 Runner in on a 2015 Chevy Equinox. They were asking 13,900 for the Equinox. Our clean trade value for our 4 runner was 26,000 and payoff was 24,000. Our 4 runner was beyond clean and we were just asking payoff. After talking to the sales associate on the phone and sending pictures of our 4 runner, the sales associate told us it shouldn't be a problem. After driving an hour and a half there the following day we were very dissapointed in how they handled the whole situation.. They told us they could only give us 19,000 on a vehicle that retailed for 29,000. So we get up and started to leave and they asked us to stay and see if we could work out something else. They ask what we wanted to be satisfied customers. I said payoff for the 4 runner and a $300 monthly payments on the Equinox. They asked if they could get that for us, could we make a deal. And of course I said yes. Well about two hours later they finally come back and show us a new deal. Said they could get us payoff for the 4 runner but the price of the Equinox went from $13,900 up to $20,000 and payments were going to be $390 a month! I laughed in their faces, grabbed my wife by the hand, and we left. Fast forward a month, wife finds a Ford Edge at Ford Lincoln of Columbia tn for $15,000. They give us more than payoff and price of the Edge didn't go up. And payments at $300 a month. So we obviously get it, While waiting for a bank to pick up our loan, we ran into a problem. Jones Chrysler Dodge Jeep of Savannah tn ran our credit more than 20+ times and dropped our score significantly from the failed deal of the Equinox. Also had our information jacked up. Said we were renting a house in which we own, and had our gross income down thousands of dollars less then what we make. Thankfully Ford Lincoln of Columbia helped smooth everything over. But still took a huge chunk out of our credit score. Worst dealings with a dealership that I've ever experienced! Will walk before I ever buy a vehicle from them! Bunch of low down crooks!
Fast to make a sale and slow about customer satisfaction after the sale. Bought two trucks just days apart. Have a botched paint job on new 2017 gmc pickup. Seem to be getting the run around. Also beware of the promise of the referral fee. Have more family and friends looking for vehicles but have second thoughts about jones motors.
